Avocado Toast

Here is a quick and easy breakfast idea that I enjoy. Toasted Brown toast, 1 sunny side up egg, a few slices of avocado, olive oil drizzle & salt and pepper of course. Enjoy =)

Sweet Mustard Chicken

Hey guys, so I made dinner last night using Chef Johns Sweet and Hot Mustard Chicken recipe. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch8-5XLXRew) &&& this is how it turned out.

I completely forgot to lay the chicken on top of the onions, so I thought I would throw in some onions at the end & use the heat from the oven to cook it...didn't work, the onions were still rare lol.

Made some asparagus wrapped prosciutto as a side dish & served everything on white rice.

The chicken was really good, Chef Johns recipes never disappoints!

Oh My Dog!

Ugh. The quality of my Iphone 4 pictures seem to get worst by the day (#firstworldproblems). 

Moving on, there is a new hot dog joint that opened in the deep South of Calgary & it's called Oh My Dog ( 1-208 Midpark Way SE) &&&...It was truly amazing. 

Dan found out about it from his co-workers & wanted to bring me there <3.

Dan got the Mac & Cheese hot dog while I got the Pulled Pork & Coleslaw hotdog. We ended up cutting our hot dogs in half and sharing it because we are just that cute =P.

The Mac & Cheese hot dog was good but the Pulled Pork was way better! It was really messy and DELICIOUS!

Restaurant: Vin Room

Wow, I feel like this month is going to consist mostly of food lol. 

Last Tuesday, me and a few friends had dinner at the Vin Room on 4th st. for the first time. Enjoy the food pictures!

When I first walked in the restaurant, it gave me a very cozy vibe because the place almost looked like someones living room  & everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves. The food here was very delicious, and the the wine menu was huge! I don't drink wine much so I randomly just chose one & it was surprisingly not gross. =P    

Our waitress was awesome, although  I think she was trying to get everyone drunk lol, every time she came to check up on us, she would ask if we would like more wine, even when we said no the first few times & our glasses were full. 

My overall experience was amazing, I think this place would be great to take your lover and for people that would want a more intimate dinner experience.  

Foodwishes Shrimp & Jalapeno Nachos

I just tried making Chef John's spicy shrimp & jalapeno nachos &&& it was awesome!!! Here is how mine turned out.

Look how pretty these little nachos look! My first few bites were pretty darn spicy lol, my mouth was on fire & my nose was starting to get runny because it was so intense!!! But, I thought the cherry tomatoes balances out the spicyness perfectly &&& strangely, my last four nachos weren't so spicy, they were more sweet lol, I guess I got immuned to the spicyness. =P

Sunday April 28: Evan & National

Happy first day of May! Spring is near...hopefully, it just finished snowing in YYC lol. Anyways, my pregnant cousin just had her baby boy last Saturday & here are the pics of Evan when I first met him.  

He was sleeping through out my visit. Haven't really seen him with his eyes opened yet.

After the visit, me and Dan decided to see the new National location. It's located on 10th st? Where Whiskey night club use to be. & let me tell you, it's HUGE!!! 

Personally, I like the new location better than the one on 17th because it has a ping pong table, foosball tables &&& a huge bowling ally being built & roof top patio.
